Friends

So last weekend I went down to good 'ole Austin. I was supposed to be in Abilene celebrating a late Christmas with a family that i've adopted and been adopted into but some things happened and they had to go out of town - so a friend invited me down to Austin - not like I really needed an invitation - but I got one and thought.. huh I could go to Austin - so I helped my Mom ring in her 50th birthday on New Years Eve, got up on Thursday and eventually made my way down I-35. I met up with Angela, Clay and Kelly on Thursday for dinner - it was an interesting place... not sure that any of us would go there again.... and then for Ice Cream at Amy's!! We eventually made it back to my friends house where we all parted ways and headed to bed - I was VERY tired!!!

On Friday I got up and got ready to go see one of my favorite families in West Lake - The Womacks! Clay joined me and we grabbed some lunch at one of my FAVORITE places for lunch! We headed to the house to see the family! I got beat by Clay James in Horse - it was so bad he gave me an extra letter and I still lost. I was there pretty much the whole day - I headed out to dinner about 7 and ended up at Cedar Street - it's been a while since i've been there and I forgot how I enjoyed the Austin night-life... Crashed at Kelly's house and on Saturday picked up Angela for some brunch at The Cheesecake Factory - YUM! We pretty much hung out Saturday - we tried to go ice skating at Whole Foods but uhm, there was ice and about 2 inches of water on top of that, so we left. Saturday night was spent with the Hull family and Sunday brought about church and an impromptu wedding. It felt like I had never left my busy life in Austin! That night Kelly, Angela and I met up with Kelli and Justin Hohstreiter and had dinner at Cheddars - it's been a long long time since i've been there too - it was prety good but no Chuy's. Monday I got up and headed back up I-35 6 hours to Oklahoma City!

All in all I must say i've got some pretty awesome friends and I'm so Thankful!!!
